P.J.S. Exhibitions, an emerging and eclectic W. Village grassroots gallery (238 W. 14th between 7th & 8th Ave.) presents "Visions of Variety," a collection of donated works benefiting the not-for-profit organization, Art for Healing NYC. The exhibit, opening Thursday, September 16th and running through October 10th, 2010 includes mixed-media pieces of various sizes and subjects contributed by an array of artists, companies and estates. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11AM to 7PM.

All proceeds will go to Art for Healing NYC, an organization dedicated to bringing arts education to the public with the help of visual and performing artists. All works will be sold below market value to afford everyone the opportunity to collect original art. The Art for Healing NYC organization offers interactive programs such as art classes, readings, meditation with the use of art techniques, healing with colors, video screenings and community outreach programs taught by professional artists. They aim to bring musical, poetic and dramatic performances as well as exhibitions to institutions with limited or no funding for the arts.

Art for Healing NYC supports artists of all backgrounds that share the healing power of their art to the public. They give free and low cost consultation to artists on many subjects including marketing, writing an artist statement and portfolio presentation. The Art for Healing gallery is available at no cost to visual and performing artists to utilize for presentations to clients or curators. They believe when one is healed spiritually, they are healed physically and mentally as well. Visit www.ArtforHealingNYC.org to learn more about their mission.

P.J.S. Exhibitions opened its doors May 20th 2010, and will be home to series of exciting exhibits rotating every 45 days with additional shows benefiting non-profit causes. After graduating from Christie's Educational Program in Modern Art, Connoisseurship and the History of the Art Market, Sullivan has developed a keen eye for admiring and appreciating various media of artist expression. He aims to dedicate his space to being the premier location for displaying the works of exciting, modern, young and avant-garde artists. More information can be found at www.pjs-exhibitions.com.
