In a recent NMS article, Berlin-based Canadian singer Peaches talked about how she won over Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to take her new musical, Peaches Christ SUPERSTAR on the road.

The show is set to go on a North American tour with inspired by Lloyd Webber and Rice's musical "Jesus Christ Superstar."

According to the article, Peaches told Billboard that "the German rights-holders for the musical initially cancelled its March premiere after they thought she would ‘desecrate the original.'"

However, after Rice and Lloyd Webber attended a trial show, Peaches and her show got the thumbs up.

"I've had this idea since I was about 14, when I used to listen to the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack and just act it out by myself. I never really entertained the idea as something that I would do in front of people until [a Berlin] theatre asked me to do a production," Peaches explained to NMS.
