The Off-Broadway hit The Death of Little Ibsen has extended its run through May 26th at the at The Sanford Meisner Theater, where it began previews on April 27th and opened on April 29th.

Presented by Wakka Wakka Productions, and conceived, written and directed by the Wakka Wakka ensemble, the play commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the death of dramatist Henrik Ibsen on May 23, 1906. "Inspired by Ibsen's childhood puppet theater, this production for adult audiences blends live actors and puppetry.
..On this unusual journey, the literary giant and his puppet alter ego 'Little Ibsen' wrestle with ghosts of both Ibsen's characters and real people from his past as he prepares to accept his calling," according to press notes.

Made possible by grants from The Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs/Lower Manhattan Community Council, and The Felton Foundation, the production stars Gwendolyn Warnock, Kirjan Waage and David Arkema with lighting by Andrew Dickey, set by Angelo Trevisan, sound and production by Gabrielle Brechner, and music by Norwegian composer Lars Petter Hagen and Wakka Wakka Productions.
