Robert Attenweiler's Kansas City or Along the Way will have its world premiere from October 5th through 22nd at The Red Room (85 East Fourth Street, between 2nd & 3rd Ave., third floor).

Presented by Disgraced Productions, Kansas City or Along the Way concerns "Joseph (who) has just lost his wife and (whose) children have been taken from his care.  Louise is left by her fiancé to search for the life and family she's always imagined.  Their stories collide at a moment when a life begins and a mistake is made that will follow them through this life and beyond.  Set in 1930s southern Ohio, Kansas City or Along the Way moves with the pulse of a Woody Guthrie song and an ambitious language that perfectly captures the heart of the American Heartland," according to press notes, which will be directed by Seth Duerr.

Kansas City or Along the Way will star Adam Groves and Becky Benhayon.

Attenweiler's previous plays include Places Like Here, seen at FringeNYC in 2005, and Thick Like Piano Legs.  He received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

The show will run: Thursday – Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm.  All tickets are $20.  Advance tickets are available by calling SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or visiting on-line at www.smarttix.com.  Visit www.disgracedproductions.com for more information.
