Off-Broadway's "JOY" to play it's final performance on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005

JOY, the new romantic comedy by John Fisher, will play its final performance at Off-Broadway's Actors' Playhouse (100 Seventh Ave. South) on Sunday, September 25, 2005. When it concludes its run, JOY will have played a total of 17 previews and 49 regular performances.

Directed by Ben Rimalower, JOY began preview performances on Sunday, July 31 and officially opened Sunday, August 14, 2005.

Hailed by Daily Variety as "a well-crafted and poignant entertainment, done with style," JOY is the story of seven young friends discovering their own unique love of life, each other and themselves in San Francisco over the course of one year.

JOY stars Ken Barnett as Corey, Michael Busillo as Darryl, Ben Curtis as Christian, Ryan Kelly as Elsa, January LaVoy as Kegan, Christopher Sloan as Gabriel and Paul Whitthorne as Paul.

With choreography by James DeForte and musical direction by Mark Hartman, JOY features set design by Wilson Chin, costume design by David Kaley, lighting design by Ben Stanton and sound design by Zach Williamson. JOY is presented by Sean Mackey, Eva Price and Ben Rimalower.

Now through Sunday, September 25, JOY plays Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $65 each and can be purchased via Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200 or in-person at the Actors' Playhouse Box Office (100 Seventh Ave. South). The Box Office opens at 3 p.m. on weekdays (closed Tuesdays), 1 p.m. on Saturdays and noon on Sundays.
