Audax Theatre Group will present the world premiere of The Gold Standard, written by Daniel Roberts (Frankie, Brando) and directed by Alex Lippard. The show will begin previews at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street) on June 1st and open on June 3rd; it is set to run though July 1st.

The play will feature Jordan Charney (Talley's Folly, "Law and Order"), Allie Carey, Sabine Singh, Yasu Suzuki and Daniel Talbot. "Set in a fabled bar at an Ivy League university, The Gold Standard concerns two college chums - a nervous businessman and his idol, an eccentric Korean poet - and what happens when, after years apart, they both fall in love with the same beautiful and driven woman," state press notes.

The design team will include Michael Moore (sets), Graham Kindred (lighting), Mike Gonzalez (sound) and Jessica Gaffney (costumes).

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com.
