Under the baton of John Daly Goodwin for his final appearance as music director, the NYCS will perform Stephen Paulus' evocative Whitman's New York, Robert De Cormier's Legacy, Morten Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna, Morton Gould's Quotations, and Charles Ives' eccentric masterpiece Psalm 90

Three out of the five works on this program of American choral music were commissioned and premiered by the NYCS: Paulus' Whitman's New York, De Cormier's Legacy, and Gould's Quotations.  Lauridsen's haunting Lux Aeterna and Ives' masterpiece Psalm 90 complete the program.
