What We Look Like, an original new play, is holding a staged workshop reading this month at The New School for Drama after two staged readings held earlier this year at Pearl Studios and another in August at Punto Space in Midtown, Manhattan.

Playwrights Bruce Jones and Jonathan Mello have taken aggressive steps to further develop the play regularly by working with industry mentors and dramaturges at each stage of the creative process. "The reception thus far has been positive and it's encouraging to see the issue What We Look Like tackles relates to audiences" says Jones. "It's a response that validates what we're doing here." Both Jones and Mello have seen an outpour of feedback and support and are ready to share the play in a more open workshop environment. The upcoming workshop at The New School is a fitting platform I do just that.

The reading will be directed by Lili Stiefel and feature: Bruce Jones (Tour: Hair, Off B'way: Marie Christine), Jonathan Mello (Off B'way: It Takes Life), Tyler Gardella (Off B'way: The Mysteries at The Flea), Jon Huggins (Off B'way: The Mysteries at the Flea Theatre).

The reading will take place on November 22, 2015 at The New School (Theresa Lang Center) at 55 West 13th Street at 5pm. A limited number of tickets for the reading are available by request. Ticket Requests should be made by email to:whatwelooklikeplay@gmail.com.
