The New York Musical Theatre Festival (Isaac Robert Hurwitz, Executive Director and Producer) announces a special membership offer to this year's 5th annual Festival in honor of the original musical [title of show] as it makes its Broadway debut, previewing July 5 and opening July 17 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W. 45 St.)  The first 50 Platinum Memberships sold to the 2008 NYMF will guarantee a pair of tickets to [title of show] to select performances from July 6 through July 27 at the Lyceum.

This special offer to NYMF members is an apt way to salute the ongoing success of [title of show], which was a breakout hit in the inaugural NYMF in 2004 and is the first musical to make it to Broadway from the Festival's ranks of 134 new works.  An original musical about making an original musical, [title of show]'s Broadway cast stars the original beloved actors who performed the show at NYMF:  Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff.

The production then and now, is directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse, with musical direction by Larry Pressgrove (writer of the 2007 NYMF show "Angle of the Sun," which had the distinction of being the 100th musical presented by NYMF).

About NYMF Platinum Memberships: NYMF Memberships allow theater-goers to support the Festival while guaranteeing admission to all the hottest shows in its 2008 season. Platinum memberships are $300 (with a $104 tax-deductible donation) and offer a host of benefits,  including 12 complimentary Festival tickets, priority seating at the theater,  access to exclusive programming, and the ability to book performances a month before tickets go on sale to the general public. Platinum members also receive invitations to private NYMF readings, and can purchase additional tickets during the exclusive members-only period for only $20 per ticket. In addition, members get free admission to opening night parties and special NYMF programs throughout the year.
Memberships have become one of the most popular audience features at the New York Musical Theatre Festival – hundreds of memberships were sold last year. This year, NYMF members will be able to book seats August 1, while seats to the general public won't go on sale until September 1.  All 2008 NYMF Membership packages, priced from $100 - $300, are available now by calling 212-352-3101 or by visiting www.nymf.org .

Twenty-four new musicals, in addition to dance, concert and cabaret performances will be presented at various venues in Manhattan as part the 5th Annual New York Musical Theatre Festival from September 15 through October 5, 2008.  For more information, visit www.nymf.org.
