BROADWAY FOR MUSIKIDS Live at the Zipper Theater on Sunday, July 6th 2008 at 7:00pm. Come out to support MusiKids, CT Inc. and experience a night of amazing talent and surprises. Featuring Andrea McArdle (Annie, State Fair, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast), Kathy Brier (Emmy Nominated "One Life to Live", Hairspray),  Julia Murney (Wicked, Lennon, Saved),  Kate Pazakis (Jerry Springer the Opera, A Broadway Diva Christmas), Natalie Weiss (YouTube Superstar), The Broadway Boys, and The Wagner College Alumni Ensemble. The evening will be hosted by  Colin Sheehan with  Musical Direction by  Brian Nash.

MusiKids, CT Inc. is a non-profit children's arts-in-education organization that was established in 2002 by Colin Sheehan.  MusiKids, CT Inc. intends to support the nurturing of musically talented students (4th-12th grades) by providing musical instruments, private lessons, funds for camps, etc. to disadvantaged and diversely talented children with special needs.  A key component of MusiKids, CT Inc. fundraising centers on providing performing arts events to the community to further stimulate and enrich their lives while helping the students.

Since its existence, MusiKids, CT Inc. has provided 15 students with over $15,000 in scholarships for lessons, instruments and performing arts camp tuitions. It also has given over 100 students the opportunity to perform in productions alongside featured professional talent.  MusiKids, CT Inc. has also inspired and encouraged numerous children during workshops held in schools throughout the Branford, Connecticut area.

Colin Sheehan, President/Founder of MusiKids is an alumnus of Wagner College ('07), where he earned a B.A. in Theatre and Speech Performance.  While attending Wagner, Colin performed on the Main Stage in Jekyll and Hyde, South Pacific, and The Music Man.  Colin directed/produced Kathy Brier and Friends for the Wagner College community in Spring 2007, and in 2003, made his Broadway debut performing in the closing night production of Les Miserables.  Colin starred in Out of the Depths (2000) at the Shubert Theatre (New Haven).  In 1999, he appeared many times on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and traveled with her to Universal Studios: Island of Adventure in Florida to co-host for the week.  For several years, Colin has continued to work for Rosie as a Team Member and performer, and more recently, as the Entertainment Coordinator, for her cruise company, rfamily Vacations.  Colin also directed The Heart and Music Cabaret, Bye Bye Birdie, Colin's Cabaret: Broadway's Best!, Songs for a New World, and more.
