On December 30, 2016, Multicultural Sonic Evolution (MuSE) will present Dance-It-Yourself Nutcracker (DIY Nutcracker), a reimagined, immersive production of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet with 8 dancers and full orchestra.

All-new choreography places the audience around the dance space so that the dancers can interact with them. The Land of the Sweets will be represented by authentic cultural dances (Spain, Japan, Arabia, Russia) and the audience will get to learn those dances alongside Clara and The Nutcracker Prince!

"We really want the audience to learn about dance forms that may be new to them!" says Theresa Burns, DIY Nutcracker's Director of Dance.

DIY Nutcracker features Lia-Shea Tillett as Clara, Jeffrey Salce as The Nutcracker Prince, and Gwynedd Vetter-Drusch as The Sugar Plum Fairy. Rounding out the cast are Ashley Carter, Andrea Kron, Hiroko Uchino, Kelly Vaghenas, and Emily Valdes. A great deal of thought has gone into the audience experience and the personnel.

"We have assembled a top-notch cast and crew whose credits range from national tours to internationally known dance companies. Music Director David Štech leads a dream team of orchestral musicians," says Ian Brodsky, Associate Producer.

Tickets can be purchased at Seated tickets and standing tickets available, ranging from $30-$45. This show is appropriate for all but best enjoyed by those ages 6 and up. For more information, visit
