After the New York Mets closed out their 8-3 win over the Cubs to sweep the NLCS, they celebrated with Champagne Taittinger, one of Broadwayworld.com's favorites. It took them 30 seconds to pop the cork of the Melchizedek bottle of Champagne Taittinger Brut La Française NV. Mets manager, Terry Collins also made his way over to stands during the post-game celebration with a big bottle of Taittinger to share with some enthusiastic Mets fans. The team then retired to Wrigley Field's visitors' clubhouse to continue the revelry. And you guessed it, with Champagne Taittinger. With the start of this week's 2015 World Series, Mets fans are hoping that there will be more cork-popping celebrations this season.

At Champagne Taittinger, they say that the honor of the house lies in the quality of its non-vintage champagne. It is for this reason that Champagne Taittinger makes a Brut Réserve every year, one whose quality and absolute consistency are recognized all over the world. It is a Champagne for all occasions, beautiful moments in life and celebration. Produced with an exceptional proportion of first press wines, the brut is a unique blend - 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier - which come from 35 different crus over several harvests. After aging 3-4 years in a cellar (over twice the legal requirement for this appellation), it reaches a remarkable maturity of flavor. The color is a bright golden straw yellow. The nose is very expressive with an aroma of fruit and brioche, as well as peach, white flowers, and vanilla pods. The palate is fresh and lively, expressing delicate flavors of fruit and honey.
