Merkin Concert Hall’s 2012 Broadway Playhouse Series Salutes Stephen Sondheim, 2/5

At the second concert in Merkin Concert Hall's 2012 Broadway Playhouse series, children discover the musicals of the great Stephen Sondheim through mini-musicals, medleys, sing-alongs and interactive games. Featuring kid-friendly explorations of Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Follies and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Now in its 6^th season, Broadway Playhouse has delighted both children and adults with playful presentations of musicals by Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Alan Menken and many others. The 2012 series concludes on March 18 with"Yip" Harburg (Finian's Rainbow, The Wizard of Oz). The cast includes Jason Robinson,Kathryn Markey, Christina Bianco, Martin Landry, Gabriella Stravelli and host Sean Hartley.
