McArdle Sings a Love Song to 'NYC' on Valentine's Day at Birdland

Tony Award-nominated Annie star and Broadway leading lady Andrea McArdle will perform her concert at 7pm on Tuesday, February 14th at Birdland (315 West 44th Street). The Valentine's Day show--entitled NYC--is part of The Spring Season at Birdland, which features top Broadway performers and songwriters at the legendary music room. The series is presented by Jim Caruso, in association with TheaterMania.com.

"NYC will be a valentine to Manhattan, and will include songs such as "Losing My Mind," "You Could Drive A Person Crazy," "Native New Yorker," and "NYC" from Annie. The musical director for the evening will be Ben Toth.

McArdle received a Tony Award nomination as Best Actress in a Musical for Annie, as well as a Theatre World and Outer Critics Circle Award. She recently starred as Mama Rose in the Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre production of Gypsy. She also starred as Sally Bowles in US and Japanese tours of Cabaret, and was Broadway's longest-running Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Other Broadway credits include Les Miserables, Starlight Express and State Fair. She was featured as "The Star to Be" in the new Emmy Award-winning ABC-TV movie of "Annie." She starred as young Judy Garland in the TV musical bio film "Rainbow," made a special appearance in Liberace's nightclub act and toured with the great Bob Hope. McArdle has had the pleasure of singing for every U.S. President from Ford to Clinton.
