The GordonFrost Organisation and Except For This LLC have announced that Mandy Patinkin, accompanied by Paul Ford on piano, will bring his critically acclaimed theatre concert to Australia this summer, performing a series of shows June 10th through June 28th.

As he begins his hiatus from the hit CBS series "Criminal Minds," Mandy Patinkin embarks on his first trip to Australia. Patinkin previously toured his one-man show in North America for the past 17 years (he also played London in 1997), and has always wanted to tour internationally. He hopes Australia is the first of many international engagements.

Patinkin will tour Australia, opening at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival (Festival Theatre) on Saturday, June 10th, followed by a Saturday, June 17th engagement at the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne's Hamer Hall on Wednesday, June 21st, and ending Tuesday, June 27th at QPAC in Brisbane.

Tony and Emmy Award-winner Mandy Patinkin has an extensive list of theatre credits that include Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theater. He won a Tony Award for his 1980 Broadway debut as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita and was again nominated in 1984 for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park With George. He returned to Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden (1991), appeared as Marvin in Falsettos (1992), and was nominated for a Tony Award for The Wild Party (2000).

In 1995, Patinkin won an Emmy Award for his role as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on the critically acclaimed CBS television series "Chicago Hope." He starred in the acclaimed Showtime Original Series "Dead Like Me" (2003 -2004), and currently stars in the new CBS drama "Criminal Minds," which debuted in the fall of 2005. Yentl and The Princess Bride are among his film credits.

The Australia concert tour commences Saturday, June 10th at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, which is one of the most significant events on the South Australian arts calendar. "WOMADelaide is a three-day music, arts and dance festival held in Adelaide's Botanic Park, which features International groups and appeals to an audience that encompasses almost all ages and backgrounds; its uniquely friendly ambience and message of cultural discovery and understanding makes it one of the nation's most popular and successful festivals," state press notes.

In addition to his concert at WOMADelaide, Mr. Patinkin will offer a special master class and acting workshop, available to festival goers and fans.
