Machine Theatre will be holding auditions for its July production of THOMTHOM (IF THAT BIRD WON'T SING) on Monday, April 26 at Plaza Presbyterian Church, located at 2304 The Plaza Charlotte, NC 28205. Auditions are from 6-9 pm. The show will rehearse the month of June (with a few meetings to work on music in May) and perform the first three weeks of July. Auditionees should come dressed to move and prepared to do cold readings from the text. Call backs, if needed, will be held on Thursday April 29th 6pm at the same location.

THOM THOM follows Arthur and Jean Louise (his ward) as they struggle through a vast metaphysical ether, trying to find their way home. They are pursued by a crazed gang of murderous wizards...who happen to be idiots. Inevitably loyalties are tested, lives are lost and love blossoms. Machine Theatre brings Charlotte a live performance with original music composed by Jon Lindsay.

Machine Theatre Company is looking for individuals 18 years old and up to fill four roles:

Jean Louise: a young girl. tom boy. adventurous, curious and willful.

Thom: a young man. earnest and quick. youngest member of a gang of murderous wizard buffoons. must sing. instruments are a plus.

Lizzie: Sassy and Sexy...a trouble maker. also a murderous wizard buffoon. must sing. instruments are a plus.

Stage Manager: We are also looking for a stage manager and assistant stage managers for this show.

*All positions are un-paid.
