Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director, Barry Grove, Executive Producer) is very excited to announce that Conor McPherson's The Shining City has found its home on Broadway at MTC's Biltmore Theatre.  The production, which completes MTC's 2005-2006 Biltmore series, will open on May 3, 2006. Previews begin April 13, 2006.

Originally produced at London's Royal Court Theater to critical acclaim, The Shining City focuses on a guilt-ridden man who visits a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. What starts out as an everyday exchange becomes a gripping struggle to survive –

a struggle that will change both men for the rest of their lives.

Further details regarding casting and creative team for The Shining City will be announced at a later date.

MTC co-produced Mr. McPherson's play The Weir, on Broadway in 1999.

MTC is postponing its plans for Patrick Marber's After Miss Julie and looks forward to producing it next season.
