MORALITY BITES! to Make Montreal Fringe Festival Debut from Theatre Ouest End

From the producers of The Covenant, What Rough Beast, and Mickey & Joe, Theatre Ouest End is bringing its MORALITY BITES! series from the Centaur Theatre gallery to the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival.

MORALITY BITES! serves up moral dilemmas with a side of humour, inviting audiences to chew on thorny questions while enjoying tasty snacks with Theatre Ouest End. Written by Alice Abracen and Ann Lambert, the production features the talents of Laura Mitchell, Brian Dooley, and a fantastic Montreal cast.

MORALITY BITES! is a night of short plays with a difference, where the dialogue is not confined to the stage but instead spreads into the audience and continues beyond the theatre doors. After each play, audiences are invited to discuss and weigh in on the difficult choices the characters face. Questions explored throughout the evening include: When is the right time to kick your adult child out of the house? Do you apologize for something you didn’t do in order to save your job? Does a critic have a responsibility to art, and are critics murderers? What do we owe the stranger in our midst? Is it okay to steal from the rich and give to the poor? At the heart of every piece is the desire to do the right thing—but what exactly is the right thing to do?

Produced by Theatre Ouest End as part of the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival, MORALITY BITES! will take place at Studio Multimédia du Conservatoire. Performances are scheduled for Friday, June 12 at 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, June 14 at 9:45 p.m.; Tuesday, June 16 at 4:15 p.m.; Thursday, June 18 at 3:45 p.m.; Friday, June 19 at 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, June 21 at 5:30 p.m. The running time is 60 minutes and all performances are recommended for ages 12 and up.

Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission and $11 for students and seniors, plus a $4.00 service charge. Tickets for the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival can be purchased online or by phone at 514-849-3378, or in person at the Fringe box office, usually located near the festival hub on Saint-Laurent Blvd.
