MASTER CLASS to Be Featured on 'Charlie Rose' Tonight

Manhattan Theatre Club's hit production of MASTER CLASS will be on tonight's episode of "Charlie Rose." The episode will feature Tony and Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly and Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally and airs locally at 7 PM on Bloomberg (Time Warner Cable Channel 30) with an encore airing at 11 PM on WNET (Time Warner Cable Channel 13). For airtimes outside the New York area, check local listings.

MASTER CLASS is playing an extended engagement at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) through Sunday, September 4.

In addition to Daly, the play stars Sierra Boggess, Clinton Brandhagen, Jeremy Cohen, Alexandra Silber, and Garrett Sorenson.

Terrence McNally's play about Maria Callas (Tyne Daly) takes us to one of her famous master classes, where, late in her own career, she dares the next generation to make the same sacrifices and rise to the same heights that made her the most celebrated, the most reviled and the most controversial singer of her time.

The creative team for MASTER CLASS includes Thomas Lynch (scenic design), Martin Pakledinaz (costume design), David Lander (lighting design), Jon Gottlieb (sound design), and Paul Huntley (wig design).

MASTER CLASS is produced by Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) by special arrangement with Max Cooper, Maberry Theatricals, Marks-Moore-Turnbull Group and Ted Snowdon.

Tickets for MASTER CLASS are available by calling Telecharge at 212-239-6200, online by visiting, or by visiting the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre Box Office (261 West 47th Street). Ticket prices are $57 - $121.
