"Spreadin' Rhythm Around" will take place on Monday, October 6, 2008, 7:30PM, a benefit gala concert directed by George C. Wolfe featuring Nancy Wilson, The Canadian Brass Quintet, Savion GloverLeslie Uggams and others.

The Luther Henderson Scholarship Fund (LHSF) is a partnership with the The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. It is dedicated to preserving the legacy of illustrious Broadway orchestrator and arranger Luther Henderson and to providing music scholarships for students of color at Juilliard.

Luther Henderson's arrangements and orchestration, especially his special talent for creating music for choreographic movements, changed the music of Broadway forever. He is well known for contributing to the success of more than 50 Broadway musicals including Jelly's Last Jam and Ain't Misbehavin.
