Songs by Sam: The Music of Sam Davis will be presented at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) on Sunday, October 23rd at 7 PM.

The evening, which will be helmed by Mark Waldrop (When Pigs Fly, Whoop-De-Doo), will feature Michael Arden (Big River, Bare), Kate Baldwin (Wonderful Town), Will Chase (Lennon, The Full Monty), Amanda Watkins (Slut, Urinetown), and Rebecca Luker (Nine, Show Boat).  The stars will perform songs for which Davis penned the music; some of Davis' lyricists represented in Songs by Sam are Mark Campbell, Sean Hartley, Alisa Klein, Georgia Stitt, Waldrop, and William Youmans.  The show will be produced by Glenn Seven Allen (The Light in the Piazza).

Davis is a winner of the Jonathan Larson Award, and a founding member of the New Voices Collective at Symphony Space. His songs have been featured in concerts starring Rebecca Luker, Audra McDonald, Gavin Creel, and Bolcom and Morris, as well as in events at Joe's Pub, the Lucille Lortel Theater, the Drama Dept. and Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series. Davis was a contributing songwriter to last season's Chef's Theater at the Supper Club, and is also an accomplished arranger, conductor, and pianist with many Broadway and Off-Broadway credits.

Tickets, which are $25, are very limited and are going fast.  They are available at www.telecharge.com (212.239.6200) or at the box office at Joe's Pub.
