Listen: Cabaret Star Travis Moser Releases 'Get Here (Feat. Drew Wutke)'

Cabaret, concert and recording artist Travis Moser has released "Get Here (Feat. Drew Wutke)," which was recorded live at The Laurie Beechman Theatre during his solo show, Mixtape, with special guest Charles Busch and music director Drew Wutke.

The Brenda Russell-penned classic, which was famously covered by Oleta Adams, opened the show. Notably, the number was the first song Moser performed during his debut show at The Laurie Beechman Theatre nearly 20 years ago. This arrangement was inspired by the Broadway icon Betty Buckley.

Moser's solo show, Mixtape, features an eclectic mix of songs from Taylor Swift's "Elizabeth Taylor" to Irving Berlin's "What'll I Do?" and features stories from Charles Busch's storied career on stage and screen.

The genesis for the show, and now album, came from Moser's love of mixtapes he would share with friends as a child, as well as the genre-bending cabaret shows and albums from such performers as Justin Vivian Bond, Mabel Mercer, Julie Wilson and the aforementioned Buckley.

"Get Here (Feat. Drew Wutke)" was mixed and mastered at The Smooth Spot Recording Studio in NYC and is distributed by Verve Records. The single is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and all music platforms. Listen to it below and check out photos from the live show here.
