Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series Continues On 12/4

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues its 2008-2009 season on Thursday, December 4, at 5:00 pm with a pre-performance talk with Hallie Foote and Penny Fuller, co-stars who play sisters in LCT's production of "Dividing The Estate" by Horton Foote which recently opened at the Booth Theater on Broadway (222 West 45 Street).

Platform Series events take place between 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm, in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). Admission is free and open to all; however, seating in the lobby is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only, beginning at 4:30pm. (Speakers and schedules are subject to change. Call 212-362-7600 to confirm on the day of the event.).

Hallie Foote, the playwright's daughter, is known for her mastery of characters in his plays. She last appeared at LCT in Mr. Foote's The Carpetbagger's Children. Other appearances include The Day Emily Married, When They Speak of Rita, The Trip to Bountiful, The Last of Thornton's, Talking Pictures, Night Seasons, Laura Dennis, The Roads To Home, The Widow Claire Her awards include the 1995 Drama Desk Award for the Horton Foote Season at the Signature Theatre Company and a 1993 Obie Award for The Roads To Home.

Penny Fuller, who plays Ms. Foote's sister, appeared in the LCT productions of LCT's A New Brain and An American Daughter. Her Broadway credits include Barefoot in the Park, Cabaret, Applause, and Rex. Her many off-Broadway and regional credits include The Cherry Orchard, Harold Pinter's Betrayal, The Seagull, Chekhov in Yalta, Twelfth Night. She appeared on TV in The Elephant Man (Emmy Award), NYPD Blue, Love and War and received Emmy nominations for Cat on A Hot Tin Roof, Miss Rose White and China Beach.
