Lifeline Productions Names Susan Steinkamp Hanus as CEO, Will Luera as Producing Artistic Director
The Sarasota-based company, known for CLOWNS LIKE ME, pairs arts leadership with Wharton-trained business expertise
Lifeline Productions has announced the appointment of Susan Steinkamp Hanus as CEO and Managing Director. A seasoned leader with an MBA from the Wharton School and a Master's from Syracuse University, Hanus brings over 20 years of expertise in organizational strategy and revenue development to the role.
In tandem, Will Luera transitions into the key role of Producing Artistic Director. A veteran of the non-profit theater community, Luera has been central to formalizing Lifeline's artistic identity. His leadership has expanded the organization's creative footprint through community-centered storytelling, workshops, and initiatives that use the arts to illuminate the lived experience of mental illness.
Together, Hanus and Luera represent a powerful evolution for Lifeline, pairing robust operational infrastructure and strategic leadership with a bold, mission-driven artistic vision.
"Susan brings a rare combination of strategic rigor and passion for the arts," said Joel Ehrenpreis, Founder and Board Chair. "By pairing her business acumen with Will's artistic vision and proven creative leadership, Lifeline is positioned for unprecedented growth and long-term sustainability."
Hanus will lead Lifeline's operations and fundraising, focusing on scaling the organization's infrastructure to support its creative momentum. "I am honored to join Lifeline at such a pivotal moment," said Hanus. "I look forward to working with the board and Will to expand our impact."
