Levy, Martin, Myers et al. Set For 'Jamie deRoy & Friends' Concert July 14

Jamie deRoy brings her show back to the Metropolitan Room July 14 at 7pm with special guests Natalia Zuckerman, Alexandra Silber, Martin Vidnovic, Pamela Myers and Benjamin Levy. Barry Kleinbort will direct the concert, with musical direction by Christopher Danny.

deRoy has produced eight CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series, which are available on cdbaby.com and www.harbingerrecords.com. The Child in Me: Volume 1, ‘Tis the Season and Animal Tracks each earned Jamie MAC Awards for Recording of the Year. For PS Classics, Jamie produced If I Sing: The Songwriters Album, which is available on www.psclassics.com. She has also served as the Executive Producer on several Harbinger releases, including Heather MacRae: Songs For My Father (2002 MAC Award for Solo Artist) and Mabel Mercer: Previously Unreleased Live Performances.

Jamie's expertise extends into theatre, television and film. Jamie's Broadway producing credits include Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Impressionism, The Norman Conquests (TONY, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards winner for Best Play Revival), Speed-the-Plow, the Arthur Miller classic All My Sons, Chekhov's The Seagull, Thurgood, November, Clifford Odet's The Country Girl, Coram Boy (Outer Critics' Circle nomination), the Tony-award winning Jay Johnson: The Two and Only, Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, and Say Goodnight Gracie (TONY nomination). Her London, credits include Marguerite and Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn. Her Off-Broadway credits include: Chasing Manet, A.R. Gurney's Buffalo Gal and Indian Blood (Outer Critics Circle Award), Beebo Brinker Chronicles (GLAAD Award), Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn, Dividing the Estate (Outer Critics Circle Award), Opus, Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell, Exits and Entrances, Adrift in Macao, Terrence McNally's Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, and both versions of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). With Rick McKay, she produced the Emmy-nominated segment "The Biggest Little Operas in Town" for Channel Thirteen's City/Arts, as well as that show's "Where Do Musicals Come From?" and "All That Glitters." Jamie is also one of the producers of McKay's successful documentary, Broadway: The Golden Age (Telly Award PBS Broadcast), available on DVD. And the upcoming sequels More of Broadway: The Golden Age and Broadway: The Next Generation.

As an actress, Jamie has guest starred on numerous TV series including Alice, Spiderman and Knight Rider. Her film credits include Goodfellas, Raging Bull, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Married to It. Onstage, Jamie appeared with Rene Auberjonois in The Threepenny Opera, as well as in The Drunkard with musical direction by Barry Manilow (who became her musical director for several years).

Jamie has earned a total of eight MAC Awards, four Back Stage Bistro Awards and CaB Magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award. She is President Emeritus of Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), and was one of the first women to join the famed New York Friars Club. She sits on the Board of The Friars Foundation and Primary Stages, and on the Advisory Board of the Theatre Museum. She is also on the Honorary Boards of Theatre World Awards, Collaborative Arts/CAP 21 and the Humane Society of New York. Jamie also has strong affiliations with New York Women in Film & Television, American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) and The League of Professional Theatre Women.
