The West End's longest-running musical is celebrating yet another milestone in its peerless theatrical legacy: an astounding 28 years onstage!

LES MISERABLES producer Cameron Mackintosh attended a celebration marking the ceremonious occasion, complete with a vivid LES MIZ birthday cake emblazoned with the iconic logo of the mega-musical phenomenon.

Composers Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil also arrived on the scene of the fete, posing for a snapshot alongside Mackintosh and cast members from the current London production - including Daniel Koek (Valjean), Tam Mutu (Javert) and Na-Young Jeon (Fantine).

LES MISERABLES originally opened October 8, 1985, at the Barbican Theatre. Subsequently, LES MISERABLES has been staged on Broadway and around the world, culminating in a hit feature film adaptation last year whose success has spawned an eagerly anticipated Broadway revival and a new Toronto production kicking off this month.
