The Carlyle Hotel will welcome legendary pop/jazz vocalist Keely Smith to the Café Carlyle (located in The Carlyle Hotel, 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue) for a four-week debut engagement.

"Beginning Tuesday, April 3rd and playing through Saturday, April 28th, Ms. Smith, hailed as 'The Queen of Swing,' will have the tony Café Carlyle crowd literally snapping their fingers and tapping their toes. Backed by 'The Wildest,' her top-flight big band, led by her longtime pianist/conductor Dennis Michaels, Smith will present a rollicking program of swing classics and jazz standards, including her Grammy-nominated song 'I Wish You Love.' At 75 years young, Keely remains at the top of her game!," state press materials.

The legendary Keely Smith has been a favorite of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Elvis Presley and JFK. She began her career as the female singer in Louis Prima's band, and later became world famous as one half of their hugely successful Las Vegas lounge act. From her chart-topping albums on Capitol Records, including her Grammy-nominated solo debut "I Wish You Love," to her five decades of nightclub and concert performances, Smith continues to perform to SRO audiences across the country, including stops in Atlantic City, Los Angeles and New York City. Her recent recordings on Concord Jazz include the Grammy-nominated "Keely Swings Sinatra," "Swing, Swing, Swing," "Keely Swings Basie- Style" and the live recording "Keely Smith: Vegas '58 - Today."
