Despite previously reported speculation to the contrary, a rep for Katie Holmes has confirmed to Us Weekly that the All My Sons alumna will not be appearing on GLEE next season. Holmes was reportedly in talks for a deal that will give her a role for five episodes during GLEE's second season.

According to the reports, Holmes landed the spot through close friend Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray in the series. The friendship led to Holmes getting to know the show's creator, Ryan Murphy

Holmes has been taking dance lessons from choreographer Tyce Diorio three times a week says one source. Sources also say she has hired a private singing coach, leading to further speculation about her guest stint.

Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in the 2008-2009 season in All My Sons and would have joined a roster of GLEE guest stars that includes Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris (to name a few).  Rumors are that Susan Boyle and Justin Timberlake will be appearing in next season, as well.

GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.
