Kate Pazakis Celebrates Her UNZIPPED Album Release At (le) poisson rouge NYC 6/1

Kate Pazakis, co-host of "Mostly Sondheim" at The Duplex, will celebrate the release of her debut album, "Unzipped: Live at the Zipper" with a CD release party and concert at (le) poisson rouge. Joining Kate onstage at the piano will be Tony award winner Jason Robert Brown (13, The Last Five Years, Parade), who wrote a new song especially for the album. Kate will be accompanied by long-time musical director Brian J. Nash and her band, featuring Maryann McSweeney on bass, Ray Marchica on drums, Dan Davin on guitar, and Victoria Huston-Elem and Eric Michael Krop singing back-up. All are repeating duties from the album.

The CD release party will be held Monday, June 1, with doors opening at 8pm. (le) poisson rouge is located at 158 Bleecker Street. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. The first 400 people in the door will get a free copy of the new album. "Unzipped: Live at the Zipper" will be released on iTunes on June 2, 2009, and in stores July 7 from a label to be announced.
