Karen Carpenter to Direct Industry Reading of New Musical WALLENBERG, 11/18-19

Douglas C. Evans, Producer (Frankenstein, TOMMY National Tour) announced today a reading of the new musical drama Wallenberg (www.WallenbergTheMusical.com) by industry invitation only on November 18thand 19th at the Clurman Theater.

Helming the cast is director Karen Carpenter (Love, Loss and What I Wore) with music direction by Darren Cohen (A Chorus Line and Chicago National Tours). Written by the 2006 Kleban Award winning team of Laurence Holzman andFelicia Needleman, and music by Benjamin Rosenbluth, the musical brings to life the fascinating story of Raoul Wallenberg, one of the greatest heroes of the 20thCentury who in 1945 saved the lives of 100,000 Jews in Budapest then disappeared. Casting by Stephanie Klapper will be announced in the coming weeks.
