BACKSTAGE BROADWAY: KISS ME KATE

Monday, April 1 at 7PM in The Loreto Theater

Presented by The Sheen Center

Hosted by Tony-nominated actor, music director, and composer/lyricist Alexander Gemignani, the new Backstage Broadway series offers audiences an inside look into some of Broadway's biggest hits. Through performance and talk with some of Broadway's most respected artists, Gemignani explores the collaborative process and sources of inspiration that ultimately deliver a show to its opening night on the Great White Way.

On April 1, Gemignani will sit down with Kiss Me Kate's Tony Award-winning choreographer Warren Carlyle, Tony Award-winning musical director Paul Gemignani, and dance arranger David Chase for a discussion offering a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing this Broadway masterpiece to new life. Company members Preston Truman Boyd, Marissa McGowan, and Christine Cornish Smith will treat The Sheen Center audience to performances of musical numbers from the acclaimed new revival. $20/$30

Guests are stars Will Roland, George Salazar, Stephanie Hsu, and Jason Tam, who will also perform songs from the show, and Joe Iconis ("Smash," The Black Suits, Broadway Bounty Hunter), who wrote the music and lyrics. $30/$40/$50
