The producers of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL, who announced previously that original Broadway cast member and Elle understudy Becky Gulsvig had been cast as Elle Woods in the First National Tour, are delighted to announce that full casting has been completed. The tour will kick off in Rhode Island at The Providence Performing Arts Center, PPAC on Sunday, September 21, 2008.

Joining Becky Gulsvig are DB Bonds as Emmett, Natalie Joy Johnson as Paulette, Jeff McLean as Warner, Megan Lewis as Vivienne, Coleen Sexton as Brooke, Ken Land as Professor Callahan, Cortney Wolfson as Serena, Rhiannon Hansen as Margot, Crystal Joy as Pilar and Gretchen Burghart as Enid.

Also featured in the cast are: Sara Andreas, Ward Billeisen, Joshua James Campbell, Nick Dalton, Ven DanielAlex Ellis, Jay Garcia, Paul JackelSarah Marie Jenkins,  Leslie McDonel, Brian Patrick Murphy, Mamie Parris, Stacey Sargeant, Tally Sessions, Josh Walden, Lauren Zakrin and Adam Zelasko.

Fans of the MTV reality show "Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods" will recognize two familiar faces in the tour casting: Third runner-up Rhiannon Hansen plays Elle's best friend Margot and fourth runner-up Lauren Zakrin is an ensemble member and understudies the role of Elle. The reality show represented the musical's second venture with MTV.  In the fall of 2007, MTV aired Legally Blonde The Musical in its entirety to stellar ratings and was subsequently nominated for two 2007-2008 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take "no" for an answer.  So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone more "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

As on Broadway, Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell is the director and choreographer.  Music and lyrics are by both Tony Award Nominees Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and the book is by Tony Award Nominee Heather Hach.
