On Friday, January 24, Broadway producers Ken Davenport (Kinky Boots, Macbeth, Godspell) and Michael Jackowitz (How To Succeed in Business..., Seance on a Wet Afternoon) will present private industry presentations of the acclaimed new chamber musical DADDY LONG LEGS in midtown Manhattan.

With a book and direction by Tony and Olivier Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables, The Life and Times of Nicholas Nickleby) and music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre, Emma), DADDY LONG LEGS has toured the country to glowing reviews and standing ovations since its world premiere production at the Rubicon Theatre Company in 2009, and has had international productions in Canada, Tokyo and London's West End.

An intimate two-person musical featuring celebrated performances by Megan McGinnis(Broadway's Les Miserables, Little Women) and Robert Adelman Hancock (Mamma Mia! National Tour), DADDY LONG LEGS is set in turn-of-the-century New England, where

Jerusha Abbott (McGinnis) is the "oldest orphan in the John Grier Home" until one day a mysterious benefactor decides to send her to college to be educated as a writer.

Required to write him a letter once a month to practice her literary skills, Jerusha is never to know her benefactor's identity, so she invents one for him: Daddy Long Legs.

Although she knows he'll never respond to her letters, Jerusha grows more and more fond of this elusive and kindly "old" gentleman and begins to think of him as the grandfather she never had. But soon another relationship begins to develop in her life.

Jervis Pendleton (Hancock), the well-to-do uncle of one of Jerusha's roommates, introduces her to a world of literature, travel and adventure. Through her correspondence with Daddy Long Legs and her growing intimacy with Jervis, Jerusha's letters chronicle her emergence as a delightfully independent young woman.

But there is one startling fact that Jerusha has yet to uncover -- a fact that will change her life forever.

With musical direction by Laura Bergquist (The King and I, Miss Saigon Nat'l Tours), the current touring production of DADDY LONG LEGS features scenic and costume design by Olivier Award winner David Farley (Sunday in the Park with George), lighting design by Paul Toben (Broadway's The Story of My Life) and orchestrations by Brad Haak (Emma at the Old Globe Theatre).

Hailed by Variety as "a wholesome tuner bolstered by winsome melodies, charming material and a spirited score," DADDY LONG LEGS will conclude its five-year national tour next month at the Florida Studio Theatre (February 5 - April 5).

With an acclaimed original score featuring songs including "Things I Didn't Know," "The Secret of Happiness," "The Girl in the Window Display" and "All This Time," the original cast recording of DADDY LONG LEGS is now available on iTunes.
