Jazz in the Afternoon presents A BIG BAND HOLIDAY featuring the Greg Ruvolo Big Band Collective
Greg Ruvolo, who has toured with Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and the big bands of Woody Herman, Gerry Mulligan and Louis Bellson brings his Big Band Collective back to Local 802's Club Room for a special holiday performance! The Greg Ruvolo Big Band Collective performance will feature an exciting blend of selections from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, and holiday compositions in the modern Big Band style. The Big Band Collective boasts some impressive talent in addition to Ruvolo; the groups' live and session resumés include playing in the Saturday Night Live band, backing Steely Dan, and playing in the big bands of titans like Buddy Rich, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis and Count Basie.
