By popular demand, Jason Robert Brown is returning to the New Players Theatre, London from Wednesday, December 7th to Sunday, December 11th. For the first time ever in the UK, Brown will be joined by his band, The Caucasian Rhythm Kings and some very special guests.

Brown and his New York based band will perform a selection of his popular songs, plus all the best showstoppers from his repertoire. He will also premiere new material as well as songs from his debut solo album, 'Wearing Someone Else's Clothes'.

Brown recently performed a sell-out week in New York. Stephen Holden of the New York Times said, "To watch the composer Jason Robert Brown perform his own songs is similar to observing a barnstorming politician on a roll. The spectacle of far-ranging musical talent harnessed to such unstoppable ambition may not be pretty, but the electricity it generates is contagious."

Brown has received many awards for his work, including a Tony for his Parade score, written at the age of 29 (legendary director Hal Prince asked Jason to write 'Parade' when Stephen Sondheim was unavailable; Brown was 24 at the time). His show The Last Five Years, won rave reviews in New York, was cited as one of Time Magazine's 10 Best and won the Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics. His show Songs for a New World has now received over 200 productions around the world. A critically acclaimed version of Parade has recently premiered at the Edinburgh Festival.

"There has been a huge demand for Jason to perform in London ever since his extraordinary week at the Donmar with Philip Quast. Jason's one-off performance at the Bridewell in 2002 sold out in a matter of hours with a returns queue around the block. Jason received a ten-minute standing ovation and delivered 2 encores," according to a press article. Last years acclaimed sell-out run at the New Players featured performances from Clare Burt, Caroline Sheen, Frances Ruffelle, Golda Rosheuvel, Joanna Ampil, Joanna Riding, Rebecca Thornhill and Philip Quast.

Jason Robert Brown and the Caucasian Rhythm Kings will perform at the New Players Theatre from December 7th to 11th at 8pm (6pm on 11th). Box Office: 0870 033 2626. Tickets go on sale from 10am on Monday, September 12th.
