The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Anthony Veneziale present a special reading of JC2K, a new musical comedy starring Matt Caplan (Rent) joining the cast with Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde), Jared Gertner (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), James Monroe Iglehart (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), plus Brian Farish and Allison Posner.  Evan Cabnet directs this new piece written and composed by Brian Fountain.

"The US Army had a simple plan: Breed a battalion of Jesus Christ clones and turn them into elite super-soldiers. But something went wrong and one of the six million dollar messiahs escaped. Now, they must do the unthinkable: bring him home or take him down," describe press notes.

JC2K performances are Monday, October 1 at 4:30PM & 8PM; Friday, October 5 at 11PM at the 45th Street Theater located at 354 West 45th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenue).  Tickets are $15 available at www.ovationtix.com or www.nymf.org.
