Industry Kids To Present Concert For The PBS Endowment Fund
Alex-Renee Davies will music-direct the SESAME STREET and MUPPETS tribute, benefiting PBS.
The Green Room 42 will present a cast of youth from the Broadway community in "Life's a Happy Song: An Afternoon with Entertainment's Youngest Muppets." The show will feature music from the vast catalogue of Jim Henson works- from Sesame Street to The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and the deeply nostalgic television specials.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the PBS Endowment Fund, providing support for quality childrens' programming and securing the future of public broadcasting.
"Life's a Happy Song" will be produced and music-directed by Alex-Renee Davies (singwithalex.com), hosted by Jayden Theophile (Gypsy, The Lion King, Caroline or Change, Tina), and Izzy Rita (A Christmas Carol), and will feature performances by Audrey Bennett (Frozen, Amelie, The Sound of Music), Caroline Valencia (Wizards Beyond Waverly Place), Ever Brave Savage (A Christmas Story tour), Everett Sobers (Appropriate, SNL), Evie Winter Lee (The Lion King), Honor Blue Savage (Joy, The Goodbye Girl), Iris Davies (The Sound of Music tour), Landon Koh (South Pacific at the Engeman), Madeleine Valencia (Only Murders in the Building), Scarlett Gleason (You and Me), Sean Verre (Beetlejuice II), Sid Kamat (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Hours), Sofie Nesanelis (Les Miz tour, The Grinch tour), Romy Fay (Leopoldstadt).
Rounding out the band will be Jonny Geeze (guitar) and Michael Davies (drums).
The peformances will take place on May 30th at 1:00pm at The Green Room 42 which is located at 570 Tenth Avenue inside YOTEL New York City. Tickets are available starting at $19, with no food or beverage minimum. Tickets and reservations can be made the The Green Room 42's website.
