Huey Lewis will return to Chicago as the slick attorney Billy Flynn in the smash hit musical playing at the Ambassador Theatre (219 West 49th Street). He will begin performances on Monday, November 20 and stay with the show through January 14.  Lewis joins the Broadway cast directly from Chicago's national tour stop in San Francisco (Orpheum Theatre 10/24-11/05).

He will also take part in the 10 year anniversary performance "Justice Served, In Our Own Words" on November 14.

As previously announced, Bebe Neuwirth will return December 31st as Roxie Hart.

Huey Lewis is the founding member and lead vocalist of Huey Lewis and The News.  With album sales over 20 million, Grammy Award-winners Huey Lewis and The News have released ten albums and have written and performed such classic top ten hits as "The Heart of Rock and Roll," "Stuck With You," "I Want a New Drug," "Workin' For a Livin" and "If This Is It."  Lewis co-wrote and performed the Academy Award-nominated "The Power of Love" and "Back In Time" for the hit film Back To The Future, in which he had a cameo role.

Lewis was a member of the ensemble cast of the movie Short Cuts, for which he received a Golden Globe.  His movie performances have included parts in Sphere, Shadow of Doubt, and Duets.   He has also appeared in the TV series "Just Shoot Me" and "One Tree Hill."

Grammy Award-winner Usher currently stars as Billy Flynn with cast members Bianca Marroquin (Roxie Hart), Brenda Braxton (Velma Kelly), Roz Ryan (Matron Mama Morton), Rob Bartlett (Amos Hart) and R. Lowe (Mary Sunshine).  Usher recently extended his run through October 14th.

Chicago, which opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on November 14th 1996, has reached a run of over 4,000 performances at the Ambassador Theatre (215 W. 49th St.); the show will celebrate its 10 year anniversary in November. Chicago received 6 1997 Tonys (including Best Revival of a Musical) under the direction of Walter Bobbie and the choreography of star Ann Reinking. The revival, based on Bobbie's stylistically stripped-down Encores! staging, featured direction and choreography by Bob Fosse in its original 1975 production. Chicago features a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse.
