For the first time in recent memory, every play George Bernard Shaw ever wrote for the stage will be presented to New York audiences. Every sketch, full-length and one-act play will be performed as a concert reading. Each month, a specially assembled, star-studded cast will present a different play - many of which have never before been performed in New York City.

The 2008 edition of this series will be presented with a nominal admission charge of $20: available after the first of every month.

As produced and directed by David Staller at New York's unique private club, The Players, one Monday a month will find eager Shavians gathering for this unique event.

The Irish born Shaw, who died at age 94 in 1950, is one of the most prolific writers of plays, books and treatises in the English language who ever lived. His outspoken stand for human rights, particularly for Women's rights, political awareness and the need for each person to take responsibility for their own lives has become legendary.

Many of the New York Theatre's actors are signing on for their favorite Shaw plays. Some of the actors who have already taken part in this ambitious series include Marian Seldes, Brian Murray, Blair Brown, Daniel Jenkins, Malcolm Gets, Veanne Cox, Marc Kudisch, Paxton Whitehead, Tovah Feldshuh, George S. Irving, Nancy Anderson, Daniel Reichard, Matt Cavenaugh, Barrett Foa, David Garrison, Timothy Jerome, Michele Pawk, Fritz Weaver and many of Broadway's favorites.
