On this latest (and 35th) episode of The Ensemblist, Nikka and Mo interview three performers who are privileged enough to be veterans of both Broadway and West End stages. Hillary Elk, Andrew Kober, and Kristen Beth Williams compare their experiences performing on both sides of the pond. Since all three started their careers on Broadway, they each explain how the opportunity arose, how the West End traditions compare to Broadway's, and how their lives changed because of the experience.

Elk (Memphis), an original cast member of both the Broadway and London companies of Memphis, reveals how stepping into a different role has given her the opportunity to learn and grow in an exciting new way, even after having performed with the show for more than two years in New York. Kober (Les Miserables, Hair) made the transfer to the West End with a majority of the original 2009 revival cast of Hair, and he explains how the West End audiences gave the production an entirely new feel, as well as the advantages to living in England. Williams (Pippin, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Anything Goes, Promises, Promises) talks about the unexpected and rewarding process of going from an ensemble track on Broadway to starring in a principal role in Top Hat in London and how she got the opportunity to partake in one of the West End community's favorite experiences.
