This weekend, The Strawberry One Act Festival premieres How I Died an emotionally layered look at life after death through the eyes of a young woman, and the family and friends she leaves behind.

Martha Frances Williams plays the lead's best friend and balances the fine line between making the "popular choice" and knowing when to take action or recognize your best friend is in serious trouble. "I think it's important to show the breadcrumb trail leading up to when things don't work out. Too often as a society we are left mouth agape wondering how we got there, and with this show I'm able to really show what being a good friend means, and in this instance, a life."

The show's cast is packed with diverse talent from Nivedita Kulkarni, the show's creator & lead actress, to Kesav Wable, playing Kulkarni's brother, who's a triple threat writer, director, and actor.

" It's challenging to play a character that you know ultimately pushes someone over the edge," Williams said. The show is a brief but poignant piece and really captures the conversation about suicide in an entertaining and abstract manner.

How I Died opens tomorrow, Sunday, February 16th at 4:00 p.m. at the Theatre at St. Clement's 423 W. 46th Street, between 9th and 10th Ave.For more ticket information, visit www.rainttheatre.com.
