Fox 5's Good Day New York Anchors Jodi Applegate and Ron Corning, along with the Good Day Team of Lucy Noland, Anne Craig, Katherine Creag and Mike Woods, will serve as Media Ambassadors for SINGLES' NIGHT ON BROADWAY, a new pilot audience development program of The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc.

SINGLES' NIGHT ON BROADWAY provides a unique opportunity for single men and women to meet and share their common interest in Broadway.  The event will take place on Wednesday, February 28, 2007.

"The Good Day New York  team and  Fox 5 have been  huge supporters of Broadway, and we are delighted that they will be helping us get the word out about Singles' Night," commented Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director, The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc.   "We hope that Singles' Night will stimulate lively conversation around the experience of Broadway theatre-going, and we can think of no better partners than the Good Day team for doing just that."

"Good Day is New York's morning show and Fox 5 is an integral part of the Broadway community, said WNYW/Fox 5's Vice President and General Manager, Lew Leone.  "We love being a part of what makes New York great."

With the purchase of a ticket to any of the participating Broadway or Off Broadway shows (see list below), theatregoers can attend a free pre-show cocktail party at Madame Tussauds New York, the famed wax attraction at 234 West 42nd Street.  Fox 5 personalities will be present to host the festivities.

Participating singles can also get special offers at an after-show bash at one of three Times Square locations (Trattoria Dopo Teatro, Zanzibar, and T New York). Throughout the evening, Singles' Night attendees can participate in a raffle to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a charity committed to mobilizing the unique abilities within the entertainment industry to mitigate the suffering of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there were an estimated 765,000 single people living in New York City in 2005. The League hopes to reach this demographic through audience outreach programs such as Singles' Night. Aimed at singles, age 21 and older in New York City (and throughout the tri-state area), the new program invites theatre-going single men and women to make Broadway the central organizing point for an evening out.

Singles' Night on Broadway is sponsored by Madame Tussauds New York, The New York Times, Budweiser Select, and Fastlife.com.

WWOR-TV My9 and WNYW FOX 5 are owned-and-operated by the FOX Television Stations, one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 35 stations in 26 markets, covering nearly 45% of U.S. television homes.  This includes six duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix and Orlando.
