Tennessee Girl’s Wish from Kids Wish Network is Brimming with High Notes

Kassandra has been through many challenges in her life, including an unpredictable autoimmune condition and losing her dad to cancer. Playing the piano is very healing for her, and she especially enjoys performing in her church's choir. Kids Wish Network, a children's charity that grants wishes for kids with life threatening illnesses, created a wish that was perfectly in tune with her dreams... she'd be spending time with her favorite musicians The Piano Guys.

Kassandra's entire wish made her feel special - it was brimming with high notes. On the day she met The Piano Guys, she and her mom were greeted by country music artist Noah Garner... they all got to go to The Piano Guys exclusive sound check. Group members Paul Anderson, Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson and Al van der Beek warmly welcomed Kassandra with many hugs, spent one-on-one time getting to know her, and took lots of pictures together. Kassandra also presented The Piano Guys with an appreciation plaque from Kids Wish Network and aprons that she handmade for their wives. They had fun modeling the aprons and showed Kassandra their silly side. Their upbeat personalities kept her beaming with happiness.

Afterward, Kassandra and her mom enjoyed their live concert and were overwhelmed when The Piano Guys personally dedicated songs to Kassandra from their performance of "It's Gonna Be Okay" and "Fight Song/Amazing Grace." Their sweet grand gesture was very touching for Kassandra and her mom - they both shared happy tears. "The Piano Guys were funny, relatable, happy and always smiling," said Wish Kid Kassandra.

During the wish, everyone went out of their way for Kassandra, giving her extraordinary treatment and gifts. She and her mom stayed in luxurious accommodations at The Hermitage Hotel. They enjoyed memorable dining at The Palm Restaurant, Rainforest Café and The Cheesecake Factory. Kassandra also felt special during her shopping spree at dressbarn, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and behind the scenes tour of Madame Tussauds wax museum.

"Everyone was amazing and went above and beyond spoiling us," said Kassandra's mom Laurie. "The wish has given Kassandra wind in her sails. It made her feel so special."

"Kassandra has been through so much, and her condition continues to be difficult to control," said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai. "Despite everything, she perseveres, and her kindness still radiates through it all. We're so thankful for the generosity of everyone who came together to make her wish such a heartfelt and momentous experience."
