Ghostlight Records will record the world premiere recording of Lincoln Center Theater's production of Michael John LaChiusa's new musical Bernarda Alba, on Monday, March 20. The production, which is directed and choreographed by Graciela Daniele, opened at Lincoln Center Theater on March 6 and will continue its run at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater through Sunday, April 9. Ghostlight Records will release the CD in late spring.

The recording, which will be produced by Joel Moss and Ghostlight Records founder Kurt Deutsch, will feature the Lincoln Center Theater cast, Yolande Bavan, Judith Blazer, Candy Buckley, Nikki M. James, Sally Murphy, Phylicia Rashad, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Saundra Santiago, Laura Shoop and Nancy Ticotin, performing Michael Starobin's orchestrations under the musical direction of Deborah Abramson.

Earlier this week, Ghostlight Records released the world premiere recording of Michael John LaChuisa's musical See What I Wanna See, which opened late last year at the Public Theater.

Bernarda Alba, an adaptation of the Federico Garcia Lorca masterpiece about a mother's oppressive reign over her five lonely daughters, marks the latest collaboration between composer/lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and director/choreographer Graciela Daniele. The team collaborated on the Lincoln Center Theater productions of Hello, Again, Chronicles of a Death Foretold and Marie Christine. In addition to Bernarda Alba, Lincoln Center Theater's current productions include the Tony Award-winning musical The Light in the Piazza at the Vivian Beaumont Theater and a new production of the Clifford Odets' classic Awake and Sing!, directed by Bartlett Sher, which begins performances Friday, March 24 on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre.

Ghostlight Records, a division of SH-K-Boom Records which recently celebrated its first anniversary, has become a leader in Broadway cast recordings, as well as solo recordings by Broadway artists. This year, Ghostlight Records earned three Grammy nominations for its original cast recordings of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The 25th Putnam Country Spelling Bee and the Actors' Fund benefit concert of Hair. In April, it will release Patti LuPone's new solo CD "The Lady With The Torch."
