GODSPELL's Telly Leung to Play Birdland, 5/14

Telly Leung, currently appearing on Broadway in GODSPELL, will play Birdland on May 14 under the direction of Alan Muraoka and featuring musical direction from Gary Adler, it was announced today.

In addition to GODSPELL, Leung's other Broadway, national and regional credits include FLOWER DRUM SONG, PACIFIC OVERTURES, the Chicago sit-down company of WICKED, SWEENEY TODD and ALLEGIANCE.

Tickets to the Birdland show are $25 with a $10 minimum, and doors open at 6:00 pm for the 7:00 show. Mary Ann McSweeney will accompany on bass with Michael Croiter on drums.

A native of Brooklyn, Leung is also a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and has continued to branch out to other avenues of the performing arts. His debut EP, 'Getaway,' is available from the website CDBaby.com. On 'Glee', Leung appeared as a member of the glee choir The Warblers.
