Fish Out of Water Productions to Hold Fundraising Gala and Cabaret, 9/7 & 8

Fish Out of Water Productions is set to present a Fundraising Gala/Silent Auction and Cabaret next week in support of the American premiere of the original musical by Anna Grace Carter, Rent A White Guy. The gala will also be honoring the King of Queens and theatrical expat Richard Mazda who has been an invaluable support to Fish Out of Water and Rent A White Guy.

On September 7th, will be the Fundraising Gala and Silent Auction, an evening of hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and wonderful company on the rooftop of the luxurious Z Hotel in Long Island City from 6-9PM. Limited free tickets can be reserved at Attendees will have a chance to meet the cast and creative team behind Rent A White Guy, see a preview performance from the show, and maybe even witness a surprise appearance or two!

The Silent Auction includes; tickets to Cougar the Musical, Joan Rivers, and other Broadway shows, autographed memorabilia from Tim Gunn and David Henry Hwang, a night at the Z Hotel, MAC Makeup, the chance to “rent” a cast member, and more.

On September 8th will be the Fish Out Of Water Cabaret at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City, beginning at 8PM. This is sure to be an entertaining evening, filled with songs about traveling and “fish out of water” experiences. Performers for the evening will include not only members of our stellar and talented cast, but also by members of our stellar and talented crew! Ever seen a costume designer take to the mic? Now’s your chance! There will be drinks and raffle prizes including show tickets, autographed memorabilia, and more! Tickets will be available in advance at and at the door the night of the event.
