Fashion Photo of the Day 6/27/13 - Miley Cyrus

Here's a shock for your Thursday: I really like what Miley Cyrus wore on Good Morning America yesterday. It's no secret the young star has undergone a major image overhaul and been experimenting with her style lately. She's done just about everything she can to distance herself from her squeaky clean Disney days and seems to have taken inspiration for her personal style from Pink and Gwen Stefani circa 1999. I am all for changing it up and pushing the boundaries, but I don't usually love her choices. But this look works!

Here's why: Miley is completely owning this black and white punk meets sexy rocker meets JLo "Jenny from the Block" look. I love the "I Heart NY" cropped top in sequins, I can't help it. It's of the moment paired with the high waisted shorts and it matches her new image. Paired with the over the knee Christian Louboutins could have been a bit street walker but instead it comes across showy and made for TV. I don't know if I would love it as much if she was walking down the street in this, but for a TV appearance? Perfect. She finished everything off with her new signature red lips. I am kinda obsessed!
