Adding to its musical-themed programs EMPIRE and pilot series STAR, FOX has anounced that it has a script commitment for LEFT OF CENTER, described as "a music-driven, workplace comedy that centers on a group of four backup singers who become an unconventional family, despite the fact that each of them thinks they have what it takes to be the star."

According to Deadline.com, the single-camera project will be penned by 'Partners' co-creator Robert Horn, who will also executive produce along with Gail Berman's The Jackal Group

With his own impressive musical theater background, Horn's stage credits include '13' (co-book writer with Dan Elish) and Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical, an adaptation of the television series Hee Haw, which recently had its world premiere at Dallas Theatre Center.
