"Extra-Ordinary People," featuring a star-studded comic cast, will be presented on Monday, March 5th at 8:00 PM at Comix (353 W. 14th Street, near 9th Ave.)

"What happens when a prime time CBS sitcom star, a New York Times Magazine humor writer and a Broadway musical director hook up with a raggedy drag queen, a couple of alternative comics and a renegade director? The effect is extraordinary," state press notes.  "The TWEED Fractured Classicks Series takes on the 80's with a fully staged reading of the classic Robert Redford film about an upper middle class mid-western family's struggle to come to terms with the accidental drowning of their prize son. The stone cold mother, the whipped dad, the messed up son, the suicidal girlfriend, the annoying shrink…and that swim coach! They're all there. You be, too."

Directed by TWEED's Kevin Malony and with video by Grady Hendrix, the one-night-event will feature Julie Halston (Gypsy, "The Class"), John Glaser (Late Night Television), Seth Rudetsky (Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, Actors' Fund concerts), Jon Daly of Upright Citizens Brigade, Miriam Tolan of Upright Citizens Brigade, legendary drag queen Sweetie, stand-up comic David Ilku and Jodi Lennon (Second City & TV's "Exit 57").

Admission is $20, with $40 tickets available for VIP preferred ringside seats (Plus two-item minimum in the showroom; save $10 off this VIP seating price if you arrive early and have dinner).

Tickets are available online at www.comixny.com or by calling 212.524.2500. Full dinner menu is available.
