Tony Award-nominee Euan Morton will be "Back With A Band" on Monday, June 11 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. at The Zipper Factory, 336 W. 37th St. (between 8th & 9th Aves)

"After a series of cabaret-style performances in NYC, acclaimed singer/actor Euan Morton returns to his rock roots and to one of his favorite venues.  Euan plays The Zipper for one night only before heading off to Europe with his brand new band - Ted Boasso on guitar, Will Clark on drums, Calvin Crosby on bass and Bryan Reeder on keyboards," state press materials.

Euan Morton, a native of Scotland, received an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of Boy George in the musical Taboo on the London stage. He moved to New York in 2003 to reprise the role on Broadway, earning Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award nominations, as well as a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut.  He recently appeared in The Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Howard Katz starring Alfred Molina.  Other New York stage appearances include Measure For Pleasure at The Public Theater (2006 Obie Award); as well as the title roles in Tony Kushner's adaptation of Brundibár at the New Victory Theatre (also Berkeley Rep), The Who's Tommy at the Bay Street Theatre, and Caligula for the inaugural season of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (2004 NYMF Award for Outstanding Individual Performance). His critically acclaimed debut solo CD, "NewClear," was released in March 2006 and is currently available on iTunes.  He has appeared in concert in New York City at Town Hall, The Zipper, Joe's Pub and Birdland, as well as at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.
